It maximizes 6 GHz capacity by up to 30%, connects twice the number of IoT devices, enhances security across wired and wireless networks, and enables highly precise location-aware capabilities.

Maximizing the 6 GHz Band with Wi-Fi 7 Access Points

The new Wi-Fi 7 standard (802.11be) builds on Wi-Fi 6E, introducing wider 320 MHz channels, multi-link operation (MLO) for channel aggregation and failover, and 4K QAM for higher peak data rates. Like Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7 also leverages the 6 GHz band, significantly expanding available spectrum.
